Chief Luis C. Tigera 

I was appointed as the Chief of the Broadview Police Department July 2011, and I am honored for this privilege.  Prior to this appointment, I retired as the First Deputy Director, second-in-command of the Illinois State Police.

The Broadview Police Department is committed to provide the most professional police service to the citizens of the Broadview community.

Our Mission; we will protect life and property and serve the community honorably.

Our Vision; we will constantly evaluate and improve our efforts to enhance public safety with the goal of improving the quality of life within the Broadview community, while at the same time maintaining respect for individuals rights and human dignity.  We will strive for excellence in all we do - seeking to be one of the premier policing agencies in Cook County, State of Illinois.

I pledge to you that Broadview Police will continue our calling to "protect and serve," and carry out our duties professionally.  Further, we will do this by taking pride in our police department, pride in ourselves, pride in our community, and pride in doing a job well done.
